Troubleshooting
Blisters or wrinkles on the print: Laminated item too
thin. Insert pouch containing the item between a folded
sheet of unused copying paper and try again (figures A
and B).
White or cloudy patches:
a) Pouch and/or laminated item too thick. Check whether
suitable pouches/materials have been used (see
specifications).
b) Not enough heat. Wait until the READY indicator
appears. If you have laminated continuously for some
time: Wait 15–20 seconds and try again.
Patches in margin:
a) Document too thick to be laminated.
b) Pouch too thick. Check whether correct pouch
thickness has been used (see specifications).
Pouch stuck in machine during lamination: Do NOT
try to pull out the pouch as this will destroy the motor.
Return the machine to your dealer for repair.
Maintenance
In order to remove superfluous adhesive from inside the
unit, clean the rollers regularly as described here:
Set power switch to ON. Wait until the READY indicator
appears.
Fold a sheet of unused copying paper once in the middle.
Insert the supplied roller cleaning sheet into the folded
paper (figure A).
Insert the paper with the folded side first into the inlet
3–5 times (figure B).
To clean the housing:
Unplug the machine. Wipe with a soft cloth and a
general-purpose household cleaner.
