The pump exhaust should be directed to a sa e place, away rom people,
animals and ood.
• Optional kit is required or remote exhaust.
• Remove the mu ler.
• Connect a hose to the exhaust port o the pump and install the mu ler
at the end o the hose. Use a hose with the same diameter as the
exhaust port. (I the hose is more than 5 eet (1.5 m), consult your
dealer or Samoa Industrial, S.A.).
• Have a moat, a protective housing, etc. at the end o the hose.
To ensure that the air supply is su icient to meet the demand o the
pump, the diameter o the pipe must be equal to the diameter o the
supply port o the pump. Choose auxiliary air treatment equipment and
ittings with su icient air low to exceed the air consumption o the pump.
This pump is sel -priming.
To prime it the irst time, you must connect the air pump supply to a low
pressure using the pressure regulators while keeping the outlet valve open.
When luid begins to low rom the pump outlet, the pump is primed. For

luid pressure, the unit must be supplied with an air
pressure between 43.5 and 115 psi (3 and 8 bar). Adjust the discharge
valve on the discharge side to control low. For the per ormance
characteristics o the pump see the capacity curve shown on page 3.
Stopping the pump
• Close the inlet valve o the pump and stop the air supply.
• Make sure or your sa ety that the air valve is closed.
• Turn o the air compressor, or close the valve on the air supply side o
the auxiliary equipment.
• Close the discharge valve on the discharge side, then begin to slowly
open the drain valve and discharge pressure luid.
• Open the air valve o the pump, turn on the pump and lush the
remaining luid.
• A ter ensuring that the pump was turned o and the pressure was
released, ully open and close the regulator valve and drain valve o the
pump.
