: Precautions for installation, modification and use:
• The instruction manual must be available where the mobile tower is being used.
• This mobile access and work tower may only be used in accordance with this manual, without making any modifications.
• Mobile access and work towers may only be used in accordance with national regulations.
• Intentional use as a means to access the work area.
• All components, tools and other equipment required to assemble the mobile tower must be available on site.
• Prior to assembling the mobile access and work tower, it is important to check the location in order to identify and prevent
hazards during assembly, modification and disassembly, which include but are not limited to:
o
Floor conditions;
o
Slope;
o
Obstacles (ground or overhead);
o
Weather conditions;
o
Electrical hazards.
• Assemble the mobile access and work tower according to this assembly and operating manual.
• Make sure that all the required pins and locks are in place.
• The STARTEO must be assembled and dismantled by personnel trained with the assembly and operating instructions.
• User training courses are not a substitute for instruction manuals, but are to be used in addition.
• Only original TUBESCA-COMABI components specified in this manual should be used.
• Damaged or defective components cannot be used.
• Refer to the diagrams above §1-4 to assemble any elements.
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn when assembling and dismantling.
• The stabilizers must always be installed in the correct angular position, see the diagrams and table below §2-3 (Rules for
stabiliser installation).
• 2 people required for assembly.
• The different levels can be accessed via the inside of the mobile tower through the hatches.
• The elements for lifting the product are hoisted using the railing once this has been fitted.
• Tools or other items can be lifted during use of the product through the platform access hatches.
• This product must be used in accordance with the instruction manual.
• Mobile access and work towers designed in accordance with EN 1004-1 are not anchoring points for fall arrest systems.
• It is only permitted to work on a platform when there is a complete guardrail including handrails, intermediate rails and
toeboards.
• After assembly or modification, the following information must be displayed on the mobile access and work tower, as a
minimum, and must be clearly visible from the ground (such as on a label):
o
The name and contact details of the person responsible;
o
Whether or not the mobile access and work tower is ready to be used;
o
The loading class and the uniformly distributed load;
o
If the mobile access and work tower is intended for indoor use only;
o
The date of assembly.
