bypass valves. The bypass valves are found on the
front of each transmission.
Follow the procedure below to disengage the drive
system.
1. Park the product on level ground and stop the
engine. Do not engage the parking brake.
2. Set the cutting deck to the lowest position.
3. Move the bypass levers on each side of the
product.

a) For Xcite
Z350: Push the 2 bypass levers
(A) rearward.

b) For Xcite
Z380: Turn the 2 bypass levers
(B) to the horizontal position.
4. Push the product by hand.
CAUTION:

5. To engage the drive system on Xcite
push the bypass levers (A) forward.
6. To engage the drive system on Xcite
turn the bypass levers (B) to the vertical position.
To set the cutting deck in transport
position or mow position
The cutting deck must be in transport position during
transportation.
•
To set the product in transport position, push the
deck lift pedal (A) forward until the cutting deck
latches in the transport position.

To set the product in mow position, push the
deck release pedal (B).
To set the cutting height
1. Set the cutting deck in transport position. Refer

mow position on page 16 .
2. Turn the cutting height adjustment knob.
a) Turn clockwise to increase the cutting height.
b) Turn counterclockwise to decrease the
cutting height.
3. Lower the cutting deck into mow position. Refer
To set the cutting deck in transport position or
to
mow position on page 16 .

To start the engine
It is necessary to do the procedure in the correct
order and with the correct conditions to start
the engine. If a start condition is not met, a
corresponding symbol shows on the display. Refer
Caution messages on the display on page 28 .
