FIG. 4
NATURAL GAS
3. The handle must be fully set at 90 degrees to gas flow
(propane gas) or parallel to gas flow (natural gas) for proper
operation. Do not operate the heater with the valve handle
set between either postion, otherwise improper operation
will occur.
WARNING
■ Both upper and lower valves should be in the
same position for the fuel being used.
■ Failure to follow this warning will result in high
limit tripping more frequently, fire, or property
damage.
Start-Up Instructions
For normal start-up
• Connect an approved 240VAC 20 amp NEMA L14-20R
locking receptacles cord to the male power receptacle.
• Open all manual fuel supply valve. Check for gas leaks
using an approved leak detector.

Premier Ductable Heater
• Position the thermostat selector switch(es) to either MANUAL
or THERMOSTAT setting.
• If a thermostat is used, set the thermostat to either above or to
desired room temperature.
• Two thermostats will be required, when selecting FULL
heating mode.
A. Half Heating Mode Only (350,000 Btu)
1. Position the heater selector switch to the HALF heating
mode. ONLY the lower heater will start.
The LOWER heater red status light will come ON briefly then
goes out .The fan motor will start, the igniter will spark, and
ignition will occur
B. Full Heating Mode (700,000 Btu)
1. Position the heater selector switch to the FULL heating
position. Both the upper and the lower heater will start.
2. Both red status lights will come ON briefly then goes out.
Both fan motors will start, both ignitors will spark and ignition
will occur.
ATTENTION
• If a thermostat is used, it will cycle the heater on and off based
on the temperature set point.
• It is normal for air to be trapped in the gas hose on new
installations. The heater may attempt more than one trial for
ignition before air is finally purged from the line and ignition
takes place. If the heater does not light, and a status light
is flashing, refer to the troubleshooting guide in the owner's
manual or scan the QR code for troubleshooting guide.
C. VENTILATION MODE
When the selector switch is positioned to vent, the fan motor
will start, but the igniter will not spark, nor will ignition occur.
This feature is used only when air circulation is required. The
heater will not cycle on its thermostat setting. To discontinue the
ventilation mode, position the switch to off or heat.
