Preconditions for use

CAUTION
!
Risk of equipment damage to the electric control unit
due to incorrect power supply.
Connection to a power supply with the incorrect mains
voltage may damage the electric control.
The DOB 200 ECO is available in different variants
and before the power supply is connected it is
essential to check that the power supply specifications
conform to the requirements of the DOB 200 ECO.
The requirements of the DOB 200 ECO can be found
on the name plate.
The prerequisites for use of the DOB 200 ECO are:
Once a day before use or after each transport of the DOB
200 ECO, a leak test must be conducted of the entire DOB
200 ECO (see "Leak test" on page 23).
A gas supply provided by the operator with at least 50 bar/
750 psi and max. 200 bar/2900 psi (type A) or 207 bar/
3000 psi (type B) filling pressure.
A power supply that meets the requirements of the variant
of the DOB 200 ECO being used.
Two appropriate tubes compatible with the G3/4
connections on the input connection (fig. 1, pos. 1) and on
the output connection (fig. 1, pos. 6) of the DOB 200 ECO.
Sufficient ventilation of the DOB 200 ECO and the
surrounding area in accordance with "Product-specific
safety instructions" on page 16. Do not seal or block the
ventilation slots on the Dräger Oxygen Booster 200 ECO
and maintain a minimum distance of 30 cm from the
surrounding walls to ensure cooling.
The conduits and tubes used on the DOB 200 ECO must
be clean. If there is any suspicion that the DOB 200 ECO
or parts have become contaminated (e.g. due to incorrect
gases or contaminated connections), the DOB 200 ECO
may not be used.

Preparations for use

The DOB 200 ECO must be prepared as follows before use:
1. Unfasten the seven connections on the cover.
2. Open the cover.
3. Ensure that the filling valve (fig. 1, pos. 4) is closed. The
filling valve (fig. 1, pos. 4) is closed when it cannot be
turned any further to the right.
4. Ensure that the vent valve (fig. 1, pos. 7) is closed. The
vent valve (fig. 1, pos. 7) is closed when it cannot be turned
any further to the right.
5. Connect the power cable of the DOB 200 ECO to the
power supply.
6. Turn the protective cap on the input connection (fig. 1, pos.
1) to the left and remove.
7. Connect a suitable tube line with G3/4 connection to the
input connection (fig. 1, pos. 1) and close the fastener
hand-tight by turning it to the right.
8. Turn the sealing cap on the other end of the tube line to the
left and remove.

9. Connect the tube line to the gas supply and turn the cap
hand-tight.
10. Turn the protective cap on the output connection (fig. 1,
pos. 6) to the left and remove.
11. Connect a suitable tube line with G3/4 connection to the
output connection (fig. 1, pos. 6) and close the fastener
hand-tight by turning it to the right.
12. Turn the sealing cap on the other end of the tube line to the
left and remove.
13. Connect the tube line to the compressed gas container to
be filled and turn hand-tight to the right or optionally, if a
filling panel is fitted, follow chapter "Mounting the filling
panel" on page 20.
The DOB 200 ECO is prepared for use.
3.2.1

Mounting the filling panel

A filling panel for four or six compressed gas cylinders is
optionally available for use with the DOB 200 ECO. In order to
be
able
to

several
simultaneously, the optional filling panel must be mounted
before use. The filling panel is mounted as follows:
1. If provided, remove the filling panel for four compressed
gas cylinders from its transport position. Turn the two
knurled screws (fig. 2, pos. 12) to the left until the knurled
screws are protruding by approx. 1 cm. Do not fully remove
the knurled screws.
