Step by step suggested
1.
Turn off the equipment to be protected;
2.
Check that there is power or voltage to the equipment connected to the
switchboard;
3.
Wait until all internal components of the electrical panel have cooled down
before touching it;
4.
Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws on the electrical
connections of the VCL Slim and remove the cables connected to it;
5.
Using a 3.5 mm screwdriver, operate the latch and unlatch the SPD or Loosen
the screws and remove the NEMA claws (not included);
6.
Partially attach the SPD to the 35 mm DIN rail and engage the lock using the
screwdriver 3.5 mm and push the SPD until it is fully seated or insertthe SPD
together with the NEMA grips and tighten the screw until it locks into the
control frame distribution;
7.
Connect the cables to the new SPD and proceed to tighten the screws as
indicated in the chapter 4 item 4.12.

At the end of the SPD's life, the protection status flag will turn red, as illustrated below,
indicating that a replacement is required.
