8. Notes on handling rechargeable batteries
• If your skin or eyes come into contact with fluid from the rechargeable battery cell, flush
out the affected areas with water and seek medical assistance.
• Protect rechargeable batteries from excessive heat.
• Risk of explosion! Never throw rechargeable batteries into a fire.
• Prior to first use fully charge the rechargeable batteries as described in chapter 4.
• Only use USB cable provided in this packaging.
• Rechargeable batteries must be charged correctly prior to use as described in chapter 4.
• The instructions from the manufacturer and the specifications in these instructions for use
regarding correct charging must be observed at all times.
• Fully charge the rechargeable batteries at least every 3 months.
9. Cleaning the device
• Clean the basal thermometer with a soft, clean cloth before and after each use.
• In the case of stubborn stains, you can clean the basal thermometer with a cloth dampened
with water or a neutral cleaning agent. Then dry the basal thermometer with a soft, dry
cloth.
• You can also disinfect the basal thermometer with 75% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol diluted
with water. To disinfect, do not dip the measurement sensor (tip of the basal thermometer)
in alcohol or hot water (≥ 50°C / 122°F).
