12. Installing the Bypass
Connecting sources
When setting up the Bypass system, it is essential to
check the required air flow connections to ensure due
system performance. Connections can be found on the
diagrams on page 3. Source A corresponds to the red
tapping point and source B to the blue tapping point.
The grey tapping point is used to connect to the VMI®
system.
The "direct" outdoor air inlet must be connected to
source B (blue tapping point). This inlet can be selected
on the side of the switch identified with a blue line.

Source A corresponds to the air passing through a
secondary heating or cooling system (solar panel,
ground-coupled heat exchanger, etc.). This source can
be selected on the side of the switch identified with a
red line.
Insulated ducts are recommended.
If the Bypass is installed with a VMI® PUREVENT
system, it must be calibrated using a new OEM VMI®
ePM1 55% filter. This filter can be obtained from VMI®
or an authorised VMI® retailer. Contact VMI® for more
information.
Pairing the wireless switch
▪ Open the Bypass cover.
▪ Power up the BYPASS (see Electrical connection).
▪ Push the PRESS button on the orange NODON panel
3 times (the red Led should flash).
▪ Press and release the red bar on the switch.
▪ Push the PRESS button on the orange NODON panel
3 times (the red Led should flash).
▪ Push the PRESS button a 4th time (the Led should
light up green and then red).
▪ Press and release the blue bar on the switch.
▪ Test Bypass operation by pressing the switch. The
damper should move towards the blue collar if the blue
bar on the switch is pressed (direct outdoor air) and
towards the red side if the red bar on the switch is
pressed (secondary system). If this is not the case,
repeat pairing.
▪ Close the cover again.
