A1.3 Acqua Brevetti SRL authorised Technical Support Centres (TSCs)
The device can only be serviced by Acqua Brevetti SRL personnel or a Technical Support Centre (TSC)
authorised by Acqua Brevetti SRL. See the website www.acquabrevetti.it for a list of the nearest authorised
TSCs. For more information on TSCs, contact Acqua Brevetti SRL (tel.: 049.8973432, email:
servizi@acquabrevetti.it).
A1.4 BravoFIL operation
BravoFIL is a backwash filter equipped with a dual-action cleaning system: brushing and backwashing of the
filter cartridge with filtered water. During operation, water enters the filter through the inlet connection, passes
through the filter cartridge from the outside to the inside, and exits filtered through the outlet connection. To
clean the filter, simply turn the knob on the top: five brushes clean the surface of the cartridge while incoming
water is diverted to a secondary filter and sprayed on the inner surface of the cartridge (backwash). The drain
valve opens automatically to ensure the removal of the impurities removed during backwashing. The filter has
an indicator that shows the next maintenance date. The filter cleaning brushes have silver inserts that
counteract bacterial growth on the filter element. BravoFIL has a 360° rotating connection plate (with 90° steps).
A1.5 Pre-filtered water characteristics
BravoFIL is designed and made to filter water intended for human consumption.
Warning! Chloride ion concentrations above 200 mg/l and aggressive water can lead to corrosion by
dezincification. Avoid water with chloride ion (Cl
of chloride ion concentration (expressed in ppm) to bicarbonate ion concentration (expressed in bicarbonate
ppm) greater than 1.
Acqua Brevetti SRL guarantees that with input water compliant with the drinking water parameters, the
equipment will provide water within the parameters of the same decree. If the water supplied to the device
contains
added
softening/demineralisation, you should contact Acqua Brevetti SRL before installing the device.
A2 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Warning! This device requires regular periodic maintenance in order to ensure the potability
requirements of the drinking water treated and to preserve the improved features as declared by the
manufacturer.
Warning! If the device needs to be taken apart for maintenance, the parts in contact with drinking
water should be handled with care and attention to hygiene to prevent contamination of the water system. Use
suitable disposable gloves. Any tools should be cleaned and disinfected before use.
In the event of malfunction or need, or for any work on the filter other than cleaning and flushing and draining,
set the filter to bypass and call a TSC. The scheduled maintenance intervals must be observed in order to
prevent contamination of the filter element. Regular maintenance ensures hygienic and failure-free operation.
Cleaning and maintenance operations are required by standards EN 806-5 and EN 13443-1.
Periodic maintenance is required on two levels. Routine maintenance: this includes tasks that can be
performed by the end user. Special maintenance: this includes tasks that must be carried out exclusively by
authorised TSCs (Technical Support Centres). Maintenance operations must be reported in the attached
"Maintenance log". The manufacturer guarantees the performance described in this manual provided that the
equipment is used and maintained in the manner specified.
A2.1 Routine Maintenance
The filter should be cleaned every 3-4 days and when the water pressure to the connected devices is reduced.
Repeat the operation if necessary. When cleaning, visually check the filter for leaks and the condition of its
internal parts (signs of corrosion, cartridge condition, accumulation of dirt). Clean the outside of the filter using
only a clean soft cloth moistened with drinking water. Do not use any kind of detergent/solvent/chemical for
cleaning.
