3.1
Connecting the Probe to the R&S RTx Oscillo-
scope
The R&S RT-ZC05B current probe has been designed for use with R&S RTx
oscilloscopes.
The output of the probe is terminated internally. Use an R&S RTx oscillo-
scope with high impedance inputs. With an impedance of 50 Ω, accurate
measurement is not possible.
Risk of circuit damage
Check that the conductor being measured is not clamped when connecting
the R&S RT-ZC05B to the R&S RTx oscilloscope. When probe is connec-
ted, a demagnetizing waveform is initially applied to the core. This is inten-
tional in the design, and not a fault. R&S RTO/RTE instruments demagniti-
size the probe automatically when it is connected.
► Connect the probe box (1) to the Rohde & Schwarz probe interface of the
base unit (2). The probe will snap in when connected properly to the port.
