4. INStAllAtION
Note:
If you try the system before installing it, make sure the street unit and monitor are not in the same room,
otherwise the videophone will emit piercing feedback noise (Larsen effect)
a. Installing the roadside panel (fig. 4.1)
1. Remove the screw under the roadside panel (1)
2. Tip the roadside panel forward (2)
3. The panel lens must be placed at a height of about 1.60 m.
4. Securely fix the rain shield using the screws (3) and install a silicone seal* (4) between the shield and the wall
to avoid water from infiltrating. *Do not use acetic acid based silicone (vinegar smell).
5. Connect the wires according to the wiring diagram.
6. Engage the roadside panel (5) onto its rain shield (6).
7. Refit the fixing screw (7).
Important: Do not point the video camera directly at the sun or at reflecting surfaces.
tip:
we recommend passing the cables through a protective sleeve to protect them from impacts and the weather.
b. Installing the monitor (fig. 4.2)
1. Fasten the wall mounting (2) so that the monitor screen is at a height of about 1.60m.
2. Connect the wires from the roadside panel and the access controls.
3. Connect the adapter plug (3) into the back of the monitor (without connecting it to the mains).
4. Position the monitor (1) and the wall mounting (2).
5. Connect the power supply unit plug to the 230 V wall socket .
c. installing the optional answering unit (fig. 4.3)
1. Prepare the 3 fastenings for the response station (1) "a, b, and c". "a and b" are 2 screws used to hang the unit
on, and "c" is the bracket behind the response station, to be removed and screwed onto the wall.
2. Connect the wire from the roadside panel following the wiring diagram (fig..6.3 or fig..6.4)
3. Connect the adapter plug to the answering unit (without connecting it to the mains) (3)
4. Once the station has been hung on the wall using "a and b", the bracket "c", which is to be screwed under the
station, will hold the unit in place.
5. After having made sure the installation is complete, connect the adapter to the mains.
Note:
If the power supply cable has to be cut, ensure that the colour coding of the wires is maintained (red wire
(+) (fig. 5)).
