5. WIRING
(fig. 6.1 - 6.4)
To avoid disturbances and malfunction risks, do not pass the wire from the videophone through the same sheaths
as electric wires.
a. Connecting the videophone (fig.6.1)
Use the following wires:
1. Connect the wires following the wiring diagram (fig. 6.1).
2. 4 Wires are needed to connect all the functions of the roadside panel: ring tone, video image, intercom
+ 4 extra wires to connect a strike/electric lock and a gate opening mechanism
Caution: never double wires to increase their size
Respect the polarity between the monitor and the roadside panel
• Terminal "1" from the monitor to terminal "1" on the roadside panel
• Terminal "2" from the monitor to terminal "2" on the roadside panel
• Terminal "3" from the monitor to terminal "3" on the roadside panel
• Terminal "4" from the monitor to terminal "4" on the roadside panel
Important :
• For the wiring diagram, please consult the label on the back of the monitor and the back of the roadside panel.
b. Connecting to a strike or electronic lock
Connect to terminals 5 and 6 on the back of the monitor.
Important : The strike or electronic lock you are about to install must have a mechanical memory like all refer-
ences. For the wiring, see the label at the back of the monitor.
c. Connecting to a motorised entrance gate
Connect directly to terminals 7 and 8 on the back of the monitor. The monitor delivers a "dry" contact with no
current, to be connected to the "push button control" of your automatic opener.
d. Connecting an extra motor - using MN LIVIA as an option (fig.6.2)
Use the following wires:
1. Connect the wires following the wiring diagram (fig. 6.2).
2. To connect the roadside panel, 4 wires are needed for all the functions: ring tone, video image, intercom + 4
wires to connect a strike/electronic lock and a gate motor
Warning: never double wires to increase their size
Respect the polarity between the two monitors
• Terminal "1" on the main monitor to terminal "1" on the secondary monitor
• Terminal "2" on the main monitor to terminal "2" on the secondary monitor
• Terminal "3" on the main monitor to terminal "3" on the secondary monitor
• Terminal "4" on the main monitor to terminal "4" on the secondary monitor
• Terminal "5" on the main monitor to terminal "5" on the secondary monitor
• Terminal "6" on the main monitor to terminal "6" on the secondary monitor
• Terminal "7" on the main monitor to terminal "7" on the secondary monitor
• Terminal "8" on the main monitor to terminal "8" on the secondary monitor
Important : For the wiring, see the label at the back of the monitors.
• 4 wires + 2 x 6 /10 wires up to 25 m
• 4 wires + 2 x 1.5 mm2 wires from 25 to 100 m
• 4 wires + 2 +2 x 6 /10 wires up to 25 m
