6.6 Using the SIMPLEX Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi module is only available in EU member states and in the USA. The button with the
Wi-Fi icon can only be operated if the Wi-Fi module is available.
The Wi-Fi module may only be used as an information tool for monitoring
printing. Print jobs cannot be started, paused, or stopped using the Wi-Fi
module.
SIMPLEX also provides Wi-Fi as a host.
In order to use it, make the following settings:
⇒ Select the SETTINGS menu.
⇒ Use the right arrow
⇒ Use the button with the SSID icon
The entry is completed with a checkmark
⇒ Set a password for this network using the button with the key icon
password must be at least 8 characters long� The entry is completed with a
checkmark
⇒ Use the button with the eye icon
♦ : The Wi-Fi is visible.
♦ : The Wi-Fi is not visible.
6.7 The FMS system
The filament sensor (FMS) controls the filament flow during printing.
You must ensure that the FMS system is always calibrated with the currently loaded filament and
the corresponding temperature. If this is not the case, the filament flow cannot be properly moni-
tored during printing.
The FMS system is negatively impacted, and printing is not correctly monitored.
If a jam is detected during printing, the printer attempts to fix this itself as part of an automatic fault correc-
tion process�
Automatic fault correction process:
• The printer switches to pause status and the print head moves to the pause position�
• The filament is retracted and extruded.
• This operation is repeated three times�
• The printer attempts to extrude 6 cm of filament to see if this causes blockages again.
• If not, printing is automatically resumed�
• If the blockage still remains, an error message is shown on the LCD display if the sensor is activated�
• If the error has been corrected by the user, they can press resume printing to continue printing immedi-
ately�
6.8 Resetting settings
You can reset all settings.
⇒ Select the SETTINGS menu.
⇒ Use the right arrow
⇒ Press the button with the reset icon
⇒ Press the button again�
⇒ Confirm that you want to reset the settings with
