Instructions for use
Safety instructions
Carefully read and keep the Instructions for use before use.
Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can fi nd this information on the
nameplate.
Connect the device to a duly installed protective contact socket.
Use the appliance only on a fl at working surface. Do not move the appliance and do not touch it when it is working.
The appliance is intended for household use only; do not use it outdoors.
Keep the appliance away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never immerse it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not touch the appliance
with wet hands in use. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
The temperature of the accessible surfaces will be very high during operation and immediately after use. Always hold the appliance by the handle.
When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself not the lead) if the appliance
is not being used. Use only original spare parts.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
Children may not play with the appliance.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

Before fi rst use
Press the closing lock on the handle to open the lid of the appliance. Remove the steaming dish, measuring container, power cord and cooking vessel from
the rice cooker. Wash the measuring container, dish and cooking vessel under running water and dry. Place the cooking vessel back into the appliance.
Place the rice cooker onto a fl at surface away from other objects. Plug the power cord into the outlet in the rice cooker and connect the other end to
a 230 V grid.
Rice and water dosing
Pour 1 to 6 measuring containers of long grain, short grain or round grain rice
level reaches to the mark corresponding to the number of measuring containers with rice placed inside the rice cooker
scale (cup). The maximum permissible amount of 6 measuring containers corresponds to about 900 g dry rice.
Dosing water into jasmine rice
Pour a little less water into the rice cooker when cooking jasmine rice: pour water into the vessel with rice inside so that the level is by about a half of a mark
lower than corresponding to the number of measuring containers with rice placed inside the rice cooker
Rice preparation
Stir the rice in the cooking vessel with water using a suitable object with a plastic or wooden working part so that it is evenly spread across the bottom
Close the lid and switch on the rice cooker by setting the switch on/off button to the "I" position

When the rice is cooked, the rice cooker will automatically switch to the mode for maintaining serving temperature, "WARM", and the green indicator

Preparing short grain rice (sushi, risotto, etc.)
To perfectly cook round grain rice for sushi etc., leave the rice in the rice cooker in the "WARM" regime for at least 10 minutes when cooked.
Maintaining serving temperature
The rice cooker will maintain the cooked rice in the serving temperature in the "WARM" mode until served. We recommend serving rice within 60 minutes
after cooking.
Useful hint: The rice cooker can also be used for thermal treatment or maintaining the temperature of meat, fi sh and vegetables.
Switching off the rice cooker
Before serving cooked rice, set the on/off button to the "0" position and switch off the rice cooker
Serving rice
Remove the cooked rice from the cooking vessel using a suitable object with a plastic or wooden working part; we recommend Rice spoon SPACE LINE
