Prior to initial operation
Before connecting the device to the power supply, ensure that the voltage on the type plate matches the network
information.
Mounting the handle extension
Attach the handle extension () to the hot-air fan (). When doing so, listen for this to click into place.
Guide the power cable () shown along the device and thread it through the loop on the handle extension.
Then place the power cable around the hook ().
To disassemble, first loosen the cable from the loop and then press the release button () and remove the
handle extension from the hot-air fan.
Mounting the nozzles
The additional nozzles can simply be fixed onto the nozzle ().
To dismantle, pull the mounted nozzle upwards.
Operation
Attention! The first time you use the device, some smoke may emerge from the device. This is normal and
does not indicate a fault.
3-Level on/off switch
Select the desired operating temperature and air volume using the on/off switch (1).
The device will reach the operating temperature after around one minute.
Switch position 0: The device is switched off.
Switch position 1: 1st level – 50°C / 500 litres/min.
Switch position 2: 2nd level – 600°C / 500 litres/min.
Possible device applications:
Use as a weed killer
If you wish to use the device as a weed killer, attach the tapered nozzle ().
Insert the power supply plug into a socket with 230 V~ or into a suitable extension cable.
Switch the device on by turning the operating switch to level I or II.

Now, direct the tapered nozzle towards the plants you wish to treat for around 5-10 seconds to kill the weeds.
For higher plants, warm the top area briefly first, then direct the tapered nozzle towards the shrivelled plants for
10 seconds.
Notes
The most effective time to remove weeds is at an early stage of the beginning of the vegetation cycle.
It is not necessary to burn the plants completely. When you heat the plant, the cells in the leaves dry out and
the weed dies off.
Older plants with harder leaves, such as thistles, only dry out after several treatments at intervals of every one
to two weeks. Hard-leafed grasses are extremely robust and require longer heat exposure.
Certain types of weed may require repeated treatment. These plants do not react to the heat radiation
immediately after the recommended working time. In general, the following applies: Young plants with soft
leaves have the most sensitive reaction to treatment.
