- Lower the sawing head while turning the depth stop knob (31) until the teeth of the blade are at the desired depth.
- While holding the sawing arm in that position, tighten the lock nut to secure the depth stop knob.
- Recheck the blade depth by moving the sawing head front to back through the full motion of typical cut along the
control arm.
- Ensure that the power source to be utilized conforms to the power requirements specified on the product
nameplate.
- The electric motor has been designed for one voltage only. Always check that the power supply corresponds to
the voltage on the rating plate.
- This machine is double insulated in accordance with EN 60745
- Before plugging in the tool, always check to see that the switch trigger (28) actuates properly and returns to the
"OFF" position when released.
- When the work area is removed from the power source, use an extension cord of sufficient thickness and rated
capacity. The extension cord should be kept as short as practicable.
- Make sure the work area is clean and leaves you free to move.
- Use personal protective equipment.
- Make sure you have a correct and comfortable working position.
- Secure the workpiece so it does not slip or does not move during the work; secure with suitable clamping
devices, never hold the piece by hand.
- Please ensure that the machine is connected to a suction device or that the sawdust bag (8) is properly installed.
- Check before operation that the safety and protective devices are in good condition.
- Perform all settings before starting up the machine.
- Make sure the cutting head is raised, and that the locking rod (19) for transport is not engaged.
- Check the tightness of the grip of the mitre table (15), the handle of the cuttting head (10), and the vertical clamp
(17).
- Choose the correct blade according to the work you will perform.
- Check that the blade is mounted in the right direction and is properly secured.
- Before starting work, perforrm a dry run. If you notice an unusual noise, stop the machine and unplug it. Do not
turn it on again before having solved the problem.
1. Switching On and Off (Fig 23 to 25)
Start the machine:
- To start the machine, press the start trigger (28) (Fig 23).
- For safety reasons it is not possible to lock the trigger in continuous operating mode, so you must keep it pressed
during machining.
Stop the machine:
- To stop the machine, release the trigger (28).
CAUTION:
Even after you release the trigger, the blade will continue rotating for a short time (10s maximum): wait until the
blade has completely stopped to perform any operation!
Using the laser:
Warning: Never look at the laser output when the beam is on: the beam can cause irreversible eye damage.
The laser beam is used to visualize the cutting line of the blade on the workpiece.
- Press the switch (29) On to 'I' position; it sits on top of the operating handle (6).
- The beam will materialize on your workpiece.
- Position the workpiece and secure it.
- Stop the laser by pressing the switch (29) Off to 'O' position.
CAUTION:
Never let the laser beam lit! Turn it off after settings.
2. Sawing
- Stand to the left or right of the blade, out of the cutting line.
