2. Check the cylinder valve to assure it has the proper external male threads.
3. Make sure all burner knobs are in their "O" position.
4. Remove the protective cap from the cylinder valve. Always use the cap and strap supplied with the valve.
5. Inspect the valve connection port and the regulator assembly. Look for any damage or wreckage.
Remove any wreckage. Inspect the hose for damage. Never attempt to use damaged or plugged equipment.
Contact your local gas dealer for repairs.
6. Open the cylinder valve fully (counterclockwise). Use a soapy water solution to check all connections for leaks
before attempting to light the stove. If a leak is found, turn the cylinder valve off and do not use the stove until a
local gas dealer can make the repairs needed.
VERY IMPORTANT:
-
The regulator shall not be place at temperatures above 140ºF (60ºC).
-
The regulator shall incorporate a pressure relief valve or overpressure device.
-
The inlet of the pressure regulator shall be fitted to the connection of the cylinder valve.
d) WARNINGS
-
Never insert any foreign objects into the valve outlet. It may damage the valve and cause leaks. Leaking
gas may result in fire, explosion, heavy body injury, or even death.
-
Do not connect this stove to a self-contained gas system of a motor home or camper trailer.
-
Do not use the stove until you make a leaking test.
-
Stop using and call the fire department if any leak is detected.
-
If you cannot stop a gas leak, close the gas cylinder valve IMMEDIATELY; call the gas supplier or the fire
department.
-
NEVER store a spare gas cylinder under or near the stove or in an enclosed area.
-
The spare gas cylinder must have safety caps installed on the gas cylinder outlet.
-
If any gas leak is found on the spare gas cylinder, immediately go away from it and call the fire
department.
-
Keep the gas cylinder away from any source of ignition when changing the gas cylinder. Very important:
disconnected the cylinder when the stove is not in use.
e) Disconnect the gas cylinder:
1. Turn all the knobs off.
2. Turn the cylinder valve off fully (turn clockwise to stop).
3. Detach the regulator assembly from the cylinder valve by turning the quick coupling nut
counterclockwise.
4. Install the protective cap at the back of the gas cylinder valve.
LEAKING TEST
Although all gas connections on the stove are leak tested at the factory prior to shipment, a complete gas
tightness check must be performed at the installation site due to possible mishandling in shipment, or excessive
pressure being applied to the unit. Periodically check the whole system for leaks, or immediately check if the
smell of gas is detected.
a) Before testing
1. Make sure that all the packing material is removed from the stove including the burner tie-down straps.
2. Do not smoke while doing the leaking test.
3. Never do the leak testing with an open flame.
4. Make a soap solution with one part liquid detergent and one part water. Prepare a spray bottle, brush, or
rag to apply the solution to the connections. For the initial leaking test, make sure the cylinder is full.
5. The stove must be leak tested outdoors in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources such as gas
