Every 3 years or 6000 km
- Change of the drivetrain (chain, freewheel and chainset),
- Change of tyres,
- Check of wheel wear (spokes and rim)
- Tension and/or truing of the wheels.
- Check of electrical functions.
For a long life of the transmission it is important not to start and not to
accelerate on the smallest gears.
2) General maintenance
Apart from the periodic maintenance described above, we advise you to
regularly check
the mechanical elements in order to detect if any replacement is necessary
on worn parts or if they are showing evidence of premature wear.
As a priority, regularly check the condition of the brakes, rims, tyres and
lighting.
Cleaning
This should preferably be done with a sponge moistened with warm soapy
water; for rinsing, a jet of water (without pressure) will be sufficient. Clean
the sides of the rims with alcohol or acetone.
With salt water it is imperative to rinse with fresh water after each use to
prevent any risk of corrosion.
Lubrication
Lubrication is essential on the various moving components in order to avoid
corrosion. This must be carried out regularly on the ball bearings located in
the axles of the wheels,
chain, derailleur and control cables.
It is advisable to use specialised oil for the chain and the derailleur. You
should use grease
for the other components.
Regular checks
Tightening bolts: lever, crank, pedals and posts.

1) Wear parts
The different wear parts are standard elements. However, it is always
advisable to replace worn parts with the same components as those
originally installed.
You will find these parts for sale at your dealership or in specialised cycle
shops.
