I. WAARSCHUWINGEN / VOORZORGSMAATRE-
GELEN
Traffic on public roads must be in compliance with the Highway Code and
traffic rules. Since 1 September 1 2008, cyclists must wear a reflective vest
at night while out of town. The company accepts no responsibility if the rider
of the bicycle does not respect the regulations in force. If the bike is used by
a child, parents should monitor use and make sure that the child is able to
use the bike safely. Helmets are now mandatory for children under 12 years
old. Before each use please ensure of the good general condition of your
bike. For the first use, we advise you to choose a place far from any traffic to
familiarise yourself with your new bike. Keep your handlebar upright when
moving off, assistance can be triggered forcefully and surprise you. In the
case of adverse weather conditions, be particularly vigilant and adapt your
speed appropriately, especially on wet ground. It is advisable to remove the
battery when transporting your bike on the outside of your vehicle
(bike carrier, roof bar, etc.),
CAUTION: Like any mechanical component, a bike experiences high stress
and wears out. Different materials and components may react differently to
wear or fatigue. If the expected lifetime of a component has been exceeded,
it may break suddenly, potentially causing injury to the cyclist. Some signs of
wear such as cracks, discolorations or staining in areas of high stress
indicate that the component has exceeded its lifetime and should be
replaced. If in doubt, do not hesitate to contact our technicians, who will
advise you best on the maintenance to be carried out following the diagnosis
of your bike.
