Electrical connection
•
Insert the plug in a duly installed 230 V/50 Hz protective
contact socket. The details can be found on the appliance's
nameplate.
•
Make sure that the appliance is switched off. The control
lamp on the front of the coffee machine is off.
Operating
1. Pull the lid of the water tank forwards. Fill the machine to the
level corresponding to the number of cups required with cold
water.
2. Bend the lower fold of the paper fi lter (size 1x4), place it into
the fi lter funnel and fi ll it with coffee powder (approx.
1 teaspoon for 2 cups).
3. Close the water tank lid.
4. Place the pot evenly on the base. Please ensure that the lid
is on the pot.
5. Switch on the appliance. The control lamp on the front of the
coffee machine lights up.
6. The brewing lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.
7. Your appliance is provided with a drip stop. By removing the
pot, before the water runs through the fi lter completely, it
avoids that the coffee drips on the base. If there is still water
in the tank or fi lter, make sure that the pot is placed back
under the fi lter to avoid overfl owing.
8. When the coffee stops fl owing into the fi lter, you can remove
the pot.
9. Switch off the appliance. The control lamp goes out.
Tip: The fi lter holder can be removed from the machine by its
handle. This makes it easier to dispose of the old coffee fi lter,
for example.

Turn the knob under the round scale. Select a setting between
„LIGHT" (weak coffee) and „STRONG" (strong coffee) according
to taste. The setting can be read off on the round scale.

De-scaling is necessary when the brewing time increases
substantially.
•
Use only commercially available citrus acid-based de-scaler.
Follow the recommended instructions for use.
Important!
•
After descaling you should boil fresh water without coffee in
the machine approximately 3-4 times. This will remove any
residues from the descaling process.
•
Do not use this water for consumption.
Cleaning
•
Before cleaning the machine you should always remove the
mains lead and wait until the machine has cooled down.
•
The machine should only be cleaned with a slightly damp
