• Please make sure you read the instruction manual carefully.
• Following and respecting the instructions in your manual will prevent damage to your instrument and

wise, we take no responsibility for any incorrect readings or for any consequences resulting from them.

• This product is exclusively intended for the field of application described above.
• It should only be used as described within these instructions.
• Unauthorized repairs, modifications or changes to the product are prohibited.
Caution!
Risk of injury:
• Keep these devices and the batteries out of reach of children.
• Small parts can be swallowed by children (under three years old).
• Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead to
serious internal burns and death within two hours. If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or
otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.
• Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
• Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking.
• Never use a combination of old and new batteries together, nor batteries of different types.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes when handling leaking batteries. In case of contact,
immediately rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor.

Important information on product safety!
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
• Protect it from moisture.
• The outdoor transmitter is protected against splash water, but is not watertight. Placed outside, choose a
shady and dry position for the transmitter.
5. Getting started
5.1 Insert the batteries
• Put the devices upside down on a table.
• Pull off the protecting foil from the display of the basis station and outdoor transmitter.
• Avoid getting close to possible interference sources (Electronic devices and radio installations).
• Important: First insert the batteries into the base station and then into the outdoor transmitter.
• Open the battery compartment of the bas estation and insert two new batteries 1.5 V AAA, polarity as illus-
trated.
• All LCD segments will be displayed briefly.
• Close the battery compartment again.
• Open the screwed battery compartment of the outdoor transmitter by lifting up the stand.
• Insert two new batteries 1,5 V AAA polarity as illustrated.
• Close the battery compartment again.
5.2 Reception of outdoor transmitter
• After inserting the batteries into the outdoor transmitter the transmitter will automatically transmit the tem-
perature. The reception symbol will be flashing on the display.
• If the reception of outdoor temperature fails, "- -" appears on the display. Check the batteries and try it again.
Check if there is any source of interference.
• You can start the initialization manually. Hold the MAX/MIN button on the base station for three seconds.
• On the display of the outdoor temperature appears "--.-" and the reception signal symbol will be flashing. The
base station will scan again the outdoor temperature.
6. Operation
• The device will automatically quit the setting mode if no button is pressed for a few seconds.
6.1 Setting of the time
• Press and hold SET button in normal mode.
• 0 will be flashing on the display.
• Press the MAX/MIN button to adjust the hours.
• Press the SET button again to make the settings in the following sequence: the minutes (0 - default) and the 12 or
24 hours system (24 - default) and adjust it with the MAX/MIN button.
• Confirm the setting with the SET button.
• The display shows the adjusted time.
6.2 Maximum/Minimum function
• Press the MAX/MIN button in normal mode.
• MAX appears on the display.
• On the display appear the maximum measured values since the last reset.
• Press the MAX/MIN button again.
• MIN appears on the display.
• On the display appear the minimum measured values since the last reset.
• Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for two seconds while the maximum or minimum values are displayed to
clear the recorded maximum and minimum readings and the actual value appears.
• Press the MAX/MIN button again to return to normal mode.
• The device will automatically quit the MAX/MIN mode if no button is pressed for a long period of time.
• The maximum and minimum values are automatically reset at midnight.
6.3 Setting of the temperature display
• Press the SET button to change between °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature unit.
7. Positioning and fixing of base station and the outdoor transmitter
• With the foldable leg at the back of the base station, the base station can be placed onto any flat surface.
Avoid the vicinity of any interfering field (like computer monitors or TV sets) and solid metal objects.
