PIN 9: overload/threshold monitoring, lower threshold
PIN 10: COM for threshold monitoring/overload
9.2.1.1 Overload outlet
The torque meters are constructed in a way that short-time overloads of up to 150% of the measurement range`s
end value will not result in a damage of the internal sensor. For safety reasons, however, an overload signal
operates already when the 120% bench mark is reached. In the case of the TMI-300 model, this signal will only
operate if the threshold value monitoring function is not activated.
9.2.1.2 Switching output of threshold value monitoring, only TMI-300
If the threshold monitoring function is enabled, the switching output works according to the principle described in
Chapter 7.2.2.
9.2.2 RS-232C interface
The RS-232C interface makes direct communication with a PC`s appropriate I/O-card possible. The minimum
requirement for data transfer up to 19200 baud is the connection with the RXD, TXD and GND communication
terminals. The applicable cable is optionally available, order no. TMI-911.
10.0 Special functions
10.1 Transmission to external data storage – USB Flash Memory
In the case of the TMI-300, data from the measurement value storage can be transferred direcly to a USB-Flash
Memory (order no. TMI-910). As data format *.CVS is used. The file names are issued according to the following
convention:
