Screw the terminals firmly on to the charge controller and secure the connections. As soon as
you have connected the wires to the PV connections on the charge controller you can remove
the cover from the solar panel. The controller should display a charging solar panel, if there
is sufficient solar radiation.
Important: A sufficiently large fuse must be inserted into the positive cable that connects the
solar panel to the charge controller.
Fixing
Now you can attach the solar panels to the fixed structure. The solar panels must be mount-
ed on a surface that is stable enough to support the weight load of the panels. If the pan-
els are mounted on a roof, the material must be strong enough to support the solar panels
in the event of wind load. The instructions for the spoiler attachment/adhesive set must be
observed here
Fuse protection for your system
It is necessary to equip the solar system
with fuses or circuit breakers. While the
systems will work without fuses or circuit
breakers, the fuses protect the system from
accidental short circuits, voltage surges
and accidental incorrect wiring. Fuses and
circuit breakers can be found in specialist
shops or your specialist workshop.
Earthing
Although not required at low voltage, the panel can be earthed by connecting a conductive
wire to the frame.
