GRILL WITH LID OPEN
TO GRILL WITH THE LID OPEN, FOLLOW
THE START UP SECTION (PAGE 17) AND
SELECT YOUR TEMPERATURE.
• Close the lid and allow the grill to reach the
desired temperature.
• Once the temperature is reached, vent and
open the lid to begin grilling.
NOTE: If any flare ups are encountered, close
the lid to snuff the flame out.
COOKING WITH THE
MEAT PROBE
FOR LARGER CUTS OF MEAT, YOU WILL
WANT TO USE THE MEAT PROBE INCLUDED
WITH THIS GRILL. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS ON
PAGE 16 FOR SET UP.
1. Insert the probe into the center of the meat
being careful to avoid any bones.

GRILLING TECHNIQUES
2. Press the "Cycle" button four times to display
the meat probe temperature. After 15
seconds the display will return back to the
main menu showing the grill temperature.
3. When the desired internal temperature is
reached, pull the probe and remove your
meat from the grill.
NOTE: Hand wash the probe in warm soapy
water. Do not get the connecting end wet.
ADDING CHARCOAL
OR WOOD DURING COOK
TO ADD CHARCOAL OR WOOD CHUNKS
PLEASE USE TONGS AND HEAT RESISTANT
GLOVES.
• Lift the hinged cooking grate up with tongs.
• Carefully toss in extra charcoal or wood
chunks.
• Rotate the grate back down.
• For a hint of smoke flavor, add wood chips to
the starter tray.

• The grill grate will be very hot.
