Quick-Lock system
Refer to Fig. 6.
•
Turn the knob of the pressure relief tool counterclockwise to make room for the coupler.
•
Press the pressure relief tool on to the coupler of the hose or tool.
•
Wrap a cloth around the pressure relief tool, leave the knob free to operate.
WARNING
Make sure the cloth covers the oil openings, because a cloud of oil may appear without a
cloth.
•
Turn the knob clockwise to release the pressure. Some oil will be released.
•
Turn the knob counterclockwise and remove the pressure relief tool from the coupler.

Use
6.1
General
Check the equipment for completeness and damage. Do not use the equipment if it is damaged; in that
case contact the Holmatro dealer.
WARNING
Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use of
all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
6.2
Before use
•
Inspect the blades. Do not use them if there is any damage.
•
Check the operation of the dead-man's handle and whether it automatically returns to its neutral
position.
•
Check the carrying handle. It must be firmly fixed.
•
Check that the protection sleeve is still present and undamaged.
•
Connect the hydraulic hoses. Refer to chapter 5.2.
•
Start the hydraulic pump.
6.3
Cutting ICU05A10 and ICU10A10
•
Place the blades at a right angle to the cable that you want to cut.
•
Make sure the blade slides into the groove of the blade guide before you cut the solid core.
•
Check to make sure no material ends up in the blade guide, causing the blade to get jammed tight
in the guide.
6.4
Cutting ICU05A30/70, ICU10A20/30/40/60/70
Refer to Fig. 7.
•
Place the tool with opened cutters perpendicular to the object to be cut and close the cutters.
The blades may be pushed apart if the cutter blades are not perpendicular to the material to be cut,
resulting in damage to the tool blades.
•
Stop immediately when the blades are pushed apart. Open the blades and start again.
WARNING
Stop immediately if the blades separate. This could lead to serious damage to the tool and/or
serious injury.
