hold the Power On/Off Button for 2 seconds to turn the meter off.
NOTE: To conserve battery life, the meter will automatically power off
after 10 minutes of inactivity.
MODE BUTTON
Repeated presses of the MODE button will toggle through the
available material types: Drywall, Masonry, Hardwood, Softwood, in
that order. Select the desired material prior to testing.
HOLD BUTTON
Press the HOLD button to lock the current reading. The reading will
remain on the display until the HOLD button is pressed again, or until
the meter automatically powers off.
1. Power on the meter
2. Press the MODE button
on the display.
3. Scan the material by pressing the sensor
to be tested. To ensure best accuracy, firmly press the sensing area
against a flat section of the material. Ideally, the material should
have a minimum thickness of 3/4" (19 mm). This calibration aligns
with the meter's maximum measurement depth and thickness
capabilities. The display will show the percentage of moisture
numerically
as a visual reference of the level of moisture present in the
material per the chart below. An audible tone will also alert when
measurements align to the RED LEDs levels below.
NOTE: "OL" will appear on the display and an audible tone will emit
when the measurement exceeds the range.
NOTE: "ER" will appear on the display if the material type is not
supported by the meter.
