Front disc brake
STAR DLX scooters are also produced with Disc brake in
front wheel (Fig. 39).
The disc brake functions on hydraulic system. Maintaining
correct level of brake fluid in the "master Cylinder Assy" is
very essential for proper functioning of brake.
Check the level of brake fluid in the Master Cylinder
located on the RH side of the handle bar (Fig. 40),
which should never be lower than the "MIN" mark on
the transparent level indicator provided in Master
Cylinder.
If the fluid level is found low, approach the nearest
authorised Service Station for topping up.
Under normal climatic conditions, it is advisable to
change the brake fluid every 20.000 Kms or every
2 years.
Precautions:
Level of fluid in the Master Cylinder must never be
lower than the "MIN" mark.
Use recommended brake fluid (Fiat Tutela DOT 3 or
DOT 4 / Mobil Super Heavy Duty brake fluid).
Brake fluid is highly corrosive. Avoid contact with
painted parts.
