WARNING
Risk of injury due to inadequately qualified
personnel.
This can cause serious injuries and damage to
equipment.
n
Only trained and appropriately qualified per-
sonnel are to work on the Wallbox.
WARNING
Danger due to unstable wall
If the wall has a load-bearing capacity of less than
40 kg, it can result in serious injuries.
n
Only install the Wallbox on walls with a load-
bearing capacity of at least 40 kg.
Observe all warning notices.
n
ATTENTION
Damage to equipment due to improper
installation location
Failure to observe the prerequisites for the instal-
lation location can lead to damage.
n
Ensure that all prerequisites for the instal-
lation location are met.
33
n
Observe all ambient conditions for the instal-
Quantity

7.1 Preparing the Wallbox installation
DANGER
Danger during assembly and installation
If components are damaged during assembly and
installation, there is a risk of serious injuries.
n
Stop any further work.
n
Notify technical service.
DANGER
Risk of injury due to electric shock
n
Protect each installed Wallbox with a resi-
dual current circuit breaker (minimum
RCD type A).
ATTENTION
Possible damage to ribbon cable
Carrying out work without due care can damage
the ribbon cable (see
n
Perform all assembly and installation acti-
vities carefully.
1.
Before starting the installation work, make
sure that all the prerequisites are met, see
Prerequisites.

cover.
In particular, the model name and the mains
connection values specified below it (mains
voltage, current, frequency) are relevant for
identification, see
Technical
data.
Open up the prepared opening for the supply
lines depending on the cable direction.
To install the Ethernet cable and the exter-
nal control cable, fit the cable entry grom-
met (KEL-DP 20/4-1) onto the prepared
opening in the housing from the outside to
the inside (1) to ensure leak tightness. See
figure
16.
Because it ensures leak tightness, the cable
entry grommet is required even if no Ether-
net cable is used.
Optional: Pull the Ethernet cable (without
plug) and external control cable through the
cable entry grommet. See
figure
1.
Fit the heat shrink tubing onto the
Ethernet cable
2.
Attach the RJ45 plug.
The end of the heat shrink tubing must
be flush with the RJ45 plug.
3.
Shrink the heat shrink tubing using a
hot air blower.
Alternatively, secure against slipping
using cable ties.
Optional: Connect the Ethernet cable, see
Connecting the Ethernet cable
(optional).
Optional: Connect the external control
cable, see
Connecting an external control
cable
(optional).
Optional: Insert the SIM card, see
the SIM card
(optional).
