ATTENTION: The outside of the Pot must be completely dry before it is placed on the
base to prevent product malfunction.
• Do not turn on the appliance until the Nonstick Pot is properly positioned inside the Base.
• Plug the power cord into the wall socket. The Warm function Indicator Light (green) will light up.
• Press the On/Off Button, pushing it down to turn on the Cook function. The Indicator Light
(red) will light up indicating that the appliance has begun cooking.
• If either Pilot Light — green or red — starts flashing when you plug the appliance in, press the
On/Off Button again, pushing it down to start the Cook function.
• If the Cook function is not turned on, the Warm Indicator Lamp will start flashing for 1 to 2
seconds, then the Warm function will automatically turn on to keep the food warm.
• The appliance can be left on the Warm function for up to 8 hours, but some food may become
dry. For rice, the Warm function should not be used for over 1 hour.
• Cooking time varies depending on the type of food being cooked.
• When cooking, check from time to time if the amount of water is adequate for the desired
result, and add more if necessary.
• If necessary, stir the food with the paddle while cooking.
• The Water Reservoir of your appliance will collect the water that will form on the inside of the
cover, because of the steam inside the appliance when the Hinged Cover is opened.
• The Water Reservoir should be removed and cleaned right after each use. Remove the
Reservoir and wash it under running water with neutral detergent. Dry thoroughly before
putting it back in place.
• Repeat the entire process for each new use.
• After use, turn off the device by unplugging the power cord.
ATTENTION: To avoid accidents and burns, use heat-protective gloves or
accessories when handling utensils while cooking.
