2. Description
PROTECTIVE GAS
Argon (Air) ........................................................................................ Aluminium, Stainless steel
Carbon dioxide (CO2) ........................................................................ Steel
80 to 85% Argon + 20/15% CO2 ....................................................... Steel
In case of MIG/MAG welding method the arc is generated between the automatic fed welding wire and the working piece,
shielding in CO
gas or gas mixture.

The machine is able to weld unalloyed and low alloyed steel plates. When welding thin car chassis, the application of gas
mixture is recommended, whilst in other cases, when deep penetration is required, pure CO
Important advantages of this technology are high heat concentration and current density so warp of the material is very
low.
Additional advantages:
♦ high current density and welding speed, quick melting, ♦ wide range of welding parameters,
♦ deep penetration, high melting rate,
♦ ability to weld of thin plates, roots, etc.,
Main parts of the machine:
♦ Metal housing with wheels and fan
♦ Wire feeding unit with motor
♦ Main transformer with range selector switch
♦ Rectifier bridge with capacitors
