BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Carefully read this manual.
Installation and maintenance should be carried out by technical
personnel qualified for this type of machine, in compliance with
current safety regulations.
When receiving the unit please check its state verifying if any
damage occurred during the transport.
For installation and use of possible accessories please refer to
the pertinent technical sheets.
The manual are subject to changes, in any times, without prior
notice aimed at improving the product.
Identify the model of the FWH-A cassette fan coil following the
indications on the packing container.

INTENDED USE
DAIKIN will not accept any liability for damage or injury caused
as a result of installation by non-qualified personnel; improper
use or use in conditions not allowed by the manufacturer; failure
to perform the maintenance prescribed in this manual; use of
spare parts other than original factory parts.

for use in civil comfort applications.
INSTALLATION SITE
When choosing an installation site, you should observe the fol-
lowing rules:
Ū install the unit indoor only
Ū Do not install the unit in a room containing flammable, al-
kaline, acidic, oily, or very humid air, nor in one where wa-
ter may be projected (e.g. laundry room). The components
would be irreparably damaged.
Ū choose the most central position of the room.
Ū do not install the unit where excessively high heat-generat-
ing equipment is located
Ū make sure that in the chosen location nothing will obstruct
the system and its maintenance (beams, insufficient sus-
pended ceiling height, suspended ceiling panels that cannot
be removed, difficult access for maintenance, etc.).
Ū it is the customer's responsibility to provide safe access to
the base unit, on the sides where there is an electrical box

electrical and electronic products may not be
mixed with unsorted household waste. Do NOT try to dis-
mantle the system yourself: the system must be dismantled
by an authorised installer and must comply with applicable
legislation. Units must be treated at a specialized treatment
facility for reuse, recycling, and recovery. By ensuring that
this product is disposed of correctly, you will help to prevent
potential negative consequences for the environment and
human health. For more information, contact your installer
or local authority.

DANGER:
The unit may be used by children of at least 8
years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sen-
sory, or mental capabilities, or who lack experience or the
necessary knowledge, provided that they are supervised or
after they have received instructions relating to the safe use
of the unit and understand the inherent dangers. Children
must not play with the unit. Cleaning and maintenance to
be carried out by the user must not be performed by unsu-
pervised children.

it has been disconnected from the power supply.

Ū do not use or store petrol or other flammable liquids near
the unit. It is very dangerous.
Ū do not install electrical equipment that is not protected with
IPX1 degree of protection (protection against vertical water
drop) underneath the unit.
Ū The manufacturer assumes no responsibility if safety and ac-
cident prevention regulations are not observed.
Note: the diffusion of air will not be as efficient if the room is
more than 3 metres high.
