1 - PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Textile sling for tree-care work (felling operations, rigging and removal of branches): e.g. pulley/friction ring holder
for redirection, redirect, etc.
2 - USE
VIPER + slings are intended for use with equipment, pulleys, and/or friction rings, usually in combination with ele-
ments specifically for tree-care work. They must be used on areas in trees with sizes and strengths compatible with
the equipment's MBS characteristics.
Only competent persons trained in tree-care work (felling, removal, etc.) should use them—and only after reading
and understanding these instructions and following the manufacturer's instructions. Users are solely responsible for
setting up a safety plan for the work area (danger zone), the people working there, and the surrounding equipment
and belongings.

3 - TRANSPORT / STORAGE / CARE / CHECKING / REPAIR
3.1 - TRANSPORT/STORAGE
Shocks and other poor treatment can weaken your equipment and cause serious, even invisible, damage. During
transport and use, take the necessary precautions. Do not let your equipment come in contact with:
• Abrasive, acidic, or corrosive materials that can damage it and/or reduce its technical performance.
• Sharp objects that could damage the ropes.
Dirt, sand, oil, etc., on textiles increase their wear and lower their performance. Store your equipment in a dry place,
free from exposure to weather and heat sources above 30°C.
3.2 - CARE
Each user must maintain the integrity of their equipment through regular care and cleaning. Use clean water < 30°C,
a clean cloth, and mild detergent.
3.3 - CHECKS
Users are responsible for regularly checking their equipment. Their safety and that of others present during the
phases of work depend on this verification. Check all the elements in your rigging system:
• Overall condition
• Presence of mandatory markings (year of manufacture, serial number, etc.)
• For metal components: No cracks, distortion, use, or signs of corrosion; proper functioning of rotating pins, fully
tightened screws, etc.
• For textile components: No cuts, burns, difference of density in the structure (soft/hard areas)
• Sewn or spliced ends, strand wear, fibre appearance, etc.
WARNING
If the product has gone through a particular event (strong shock) or is damaged, if you have any doubts
about its condition, or do not know how old it is, discard it immediately.
