Installing the Boot
:
1.
With the tractor's discharge
chute raised up and held open
(1), install the boot by placing
the boot mounting rod into
the chute mounting tab (2), as
shown in Figure 17.
2.
Secure the boot to the deck
using a wing knob (720-04122)
from hardware pack 689-
00636. See Figure 18.
NOTE: If present, remove the
protective cap off of the mounting
stud on the mowing deck as shown
in the upper inset of Figure 18.
NOTE: Be certain that the bottom of the discharge chute is located inside of the lip of
the deck opening, as shown in Figure 19.

Installing the Hose
1.
Thread the upper end of
the hose (764-05082)
securely into the upper
chute support. There are
two tabs on the lower
inside part of the upper
chute support to allow
for secure threading. See
Figure 20.
NOTE: The hose and upper
chute support are left-hand
threaded. Thread
counter-clockwise until
secure.
2.
Install ring (731-12353A)
onto free end of hose
by aligning start of
hose ribbing with the
ring window next to a
molded dot. See inset in
Figure 21.
NOTE: Hose and ring are
left-hand threaded. Thread
counter-clockwise until
secure.
IMPORTANT! If ring will
not thread onto hose, carefully trim any extra material on the hose flush to the rib
with scissors.

Lift by the handles at the bottom
of the hose. Slide the hose over the
boot mounted on the cutting deck,
as shown in Figure 22.
4.
Make sure the connection is secure
and there are no gaps between the
hose and the boot.
NOTE: If open, close the bagger cover
prior to mowing.
