INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WEATHER STRIPPING
In order to minimize air leaks in the window
opening, apply the provided weather stripping to
any gaps in the areas indicated below.
END OF SEASON REMOVAL
Follow the steps below to remove the air conditioner
from the window at the end of the season.
1. Ensure the air conditioner is turned off and
unplugged.
2. Remove the window sealing foam from between
the windows and remove the sash lock.
3. Remove the screws from the frame and frame
lock.
4. Close the side panels.
5. Keeping a fi rm grim on the air conditioner,
raise the window sash and lift the unit out of the
window. Be careful not to spill any water that
may remain inside the air conditioner. It is a
good idea to put a towel or similar item on the
fl oor as a precaution.
6. Store the air conditioner and all parts together
in a cool, dry place.
NORMAL SOUNDS
Vibration: the air conditioner may vibrate or make
noise due to poor wall or window construction or
incorrect installation.
Trickling sounds: droplets of water hitting the
condenser during normal operation may cause a
trickling sound.
High pitched chatter: high effi ciency compressors
may have a high pitched sound during the cooling
cycle.
Sound of rushing air: the sound of rushing air may
be heard at the front of the air conditioner as the
fan operates.
Gurgles or hissing: gurgling or hissing noises may
be heard during operation due to coolant moving
through the evaporator.
AIR DIRECTIONAL LOUVERS
The air directional louvers can be moved to direct
the fl ow of air.
Use the swing button on the control panel to direct
the fl ow of air up or down.
Use the manual louver to direct the fl ow of air left or
right.
