6.4. Installing the grille
6.4.1. Preparations (Fig. 6-5)
Check that the two temporary hanging hooks on the grille are in the raised position.
6.4.2. Temporary installation of the grille (Fig. 6-6)
• Align the screw holes in the corners of the grille with the screw mounting holes in
the corners of the main unit, latch the two hooks on the grille onto the drain pan
projections on the main unit, and temporarily hang the grille.
6.4.3. Securing the grille
• Secure the grille by tightening the four screws. (Fig. 6-6)
Note:
Make sure that there are no gaps between the main unit and the panel or the panel
and the ceiling. (Fig. 6-7)
Fixing gaps between the grille and the ceiling
With the grille attached, adjust the height of the main unit to close the gap.
Caution:
• When tightening the screw with captive washer C, tighten it within a tightening
torque range of 2.8–3.6 N•m, 2.1–2.6 ft•lbs. Never use an impact screwdriver.
It may result in parts damage.
• After tightening the screw, confi rm that the two grille hooks (Fig. 6-6) are
latched onto the hooks on the main unit.
6.4.4. Wire connection (Fig. 6-8)
• Loosen the 2 screws fi xing the electrical box cover of the main unit, and then
open the cover.
• Be sure to connect the connector (white, 20-pole) for vane motor of the grille to
CNV connector of controller board of the main unit.
• The remaining lead wire is put with clamp in the electrical box of the main unit.
• The electrical box cover of the main unit is closed again with 2 screws.
