The kickback occurs due to an incorrect use of the power
tool or due to an improper working procedure which can
cause serious injuries to the user. Loss of control can result
in serious injury. To avoid the kickback, the following
precautions must be considered:
- Install and hold the blade in the correct position and
tighten it;
- Do not position your body in the area where power tool
will move if kickback occurs;
- When the blade jams or the cutting operation is
interrupted for any reason, immediately release the
"ON/OFF" switch and do not move the circular saw on the
workpiece until the blade comes to a complete stop;
- Never pull the circular saw backwards or try to pull it
out of the workpiece while the blade is moving, otherwise
kickback may occur;
▪ To prevent the workpiece from moving or being ejected,
use clamping devices or a workbench to ensure that
work is carried out safely. Place and hold the workpiece
in the correct position and secure it;
▪ The outer diameter, thickness and blade inner hole of
the blade must be compatible with the technical
specifications of the circular saw. Incorrectly sized
blades cannot be adequately protected or controlled;
▪ The fixing bolts of the blade depth and cutting angle
adjustment guides and the parallel guide fixing bolts
must be securely fastened before starting to cut. Any
changes to the blade adjustment during cutting may
cause damage to the power tool and injury to the user;
▪ Make sure that the ventilation slots are not clogged. Do
not place any objects over the slots;
▪ The blades can become very hot during operation. Avoid
touching them, they can cause burns;
▪ Make sure that you don't damage the electrical circuits,
gas and water pipes when operating the equipment. Any
damage to these installations can cause fire, explosion,
electric shock or property damage;
▪ Whenever you work in enclosed or poorly ventilated
spaces you should use particle extraction and collection
devices attached to the circular saw;
▪ Avoid using the circular saw on surfaces coated with
paints containing lead or other materials harmful to
health. Any contact or inhalation of dust may cause
allergic reactions and / or breathing disorders.
Before performing cleaning, adjusting, repairing and
maintenance tasks, always remove the battery.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately, so that
the power tool is always in a safe operating condition.
Cleaning:
Always keep the power tool clean and dry, free from oil,
lubricants or grease. Clean all circular saw parts and
accessories after operation.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products. These products
may damage plastics and metals, compromising the safe
operation of the power tool.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in this instruction
manual may be carried out, all other works must be
performed by an official dealer.
Use only VITO-approved blades and attachable accessories
for this machine or technically identical parts. Failure to do
so may result in personal injuries or damages to the circular
saw. If in doubt, if you lack knowledge or resources, you
should contact an official dealer.
Your circular saw should only be serviced by the
manufacturer's internal service personnel, or other
qualified personnel, replacing any necessary parts with
original parts.
