Keeping
your recordings
Any new recording automatically erases the previous one.

operation
is
performed,
the
record button (27)
will
be
locked.
Should
you wish
in
the future
to
record
onto
a
cassette
whose
protective
tabs
have been
removed,
just
plug both
small
apertures with
adhesive tape.
Maintenance
To
preserve
all the
playback qualities
of
your
tape-recorder,
you
should
at
regular intervals clean
the
magnetic
heads
and
drive
mechanism (pinch
roller
and
capstan).
Soiling
of
these parts by
magnetic
dust from tapes
may cause
a
power loss and an alteration
in
the sound
level.
ln order to clean these parts, proceed
as
follows:

Press button

the cassette
holder.

Take the cassette
out.
-
Clean
both
heads,
the
pinch roller
and the
capstan
with
a
cotton-wool stick dipped in surgical spirit
(see
fig. 2, page
19).
Note:

parts.
Use
with
a
timer
Your machine
enables
you
to
record
or to
listen
to a sequence at
a
desired
time by
means
of a
timer
switch connected
to
the
mains
socket.
