Charging LT-15 SMART starter
This starter can be charged in 2 different ways: using the mains charger or the 12V charger for vehicles. If you are
charging the starter, lights flashing will change into fixed as you gain battery charge. When the 5 lights remain fixed,
charging is finished and you should disconnect it from the charger.
1 – Connect the mains charger to a network socket.
2 – Connect the other end of the charger to the 14V 1A input port of the starter.
Or
1 – Connect the 12V charger to the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle.
2 – Connect the other end of the charger to the 14V 1A input port of the starter.
Instructions to start a 12V vehicle
1 – Make sure the vehicle battery you are intending to start is 12V (otherwise, it could damage your vehicle!)
2 – Do not try to start vehicles over 6000cc with LT-15 SMART model
3 – Briefly press the multifunction button to verify that at least there are 3 lighted indicator lights (if two or fewer lights
turn on, charge the starter before attempting to start any vehicle)
4 – Connect firmly the blue connector of the clamps into the blue socket of the starter. Both LEDs of SMART clamps will
flash one by one. Otherwise, read the section "TROUBLESHOOTING"
5 – Connect the red clamp to the positive (red) terminal of the vehicle battery (+) and then the black clamp to the
negative (-) terminal of the vehicle battery.
6 – Put the key in the ignition and turn ¼ turn. The green light of SMART shall be fixed and the red will turn off. From
this moment, you have 30 seconds to start the vehicle.
7 – Fully turn the ignition key and start the vehicle.
8 – Once the engine has started, disconnect the starter from the clamps (blue connectors) in less than 30
seconds and then disconnect the clamps from the battery terminals. Red clamp first and black clamp after.
9 – Leave the engine running to restore the charge of the vehicle's battery.
Do not attempt to start a vehicle for more than 5 seconds. After that time, disconnect the starter from the battery (follow
step 8) and try again after 5 minutes (start from step 3).
If the vehicle does not start, read the section "TROUBLESHOOTING".
