5.1 - REPLACING THE dRIVE
BELT (fIG. L)
1. Unscrew the fixing screws and
remove the drive belt (28) cover (11);
2. Remove the worn belt from the
pulleys;
3. Insert a new belt. The belt should fit
perfectly on the pulleys;
4. Fit the cover and tighten the fixing
screws;
5.2 - BRUSHES REPLACEMENT
(fIG. M)
The engine won't start when the
brushes are worn. They must be
replaced in good time or there will be a
defective contact between the brushes
and the collector, originating sparks
and damaging the hammer. Both
brushes must be replaced at the same
time by two equal ones.
1. Unscrew the fixing screws and
remove the carbon brushes' cover (14);
2. Undock the connectors and remove
the worn brushes;
3. Insert the new brushes and attach
the connectors;
4. Fit the brush' cover and tighten the
fixing screws;

Always ensure that the machine and
the power cord are disconnected
before removing the dust and shavings
collector bag.
1. Remove the collector bag (27) from
the planer;
2. Empty the bag. Shake it to shake off
dust and other debris;
3. Put it back on the planer;

Use an anti-dust mask and
goggles when emptying the bag.
5.4 - SHARPEN THE CUTTING
BLAdES
The cutting blades can be sharpened
on a grinder or a sharpening stone. If
imperfections or wear are large, use the
grinder before the sharpening stone.
1. Place the sharpening stone for 2 or 3
minutes before sharpening the blades;
2. Sharpen the blades in a fine grain
disc grinder;
3. After sharpening the blade on the
grinding disc, use the sharpening stone
for a finer finish and edge;
Ensure that the blades at the end
of the sharpening operation
have the same length and the same
angle.
5.5 - CLEANING ANd STORAGE
Cleaning
After each use, clean all components
of the planer and empty the collection
bag. Clean the planer with a clean,
damp cloth or blow with compressed
air at low pressure.
The tool and its ventilation openings
must be kept clean to prevent
overheating of the motor. Clean the
ventilation
openings
regularly
whenever they become clogged.
A careful handling protects the power
tool and extends its life.
Storage
When not in use, store the planer in a
dry, clean place, free from corrosive
vapours and out of the reach of
children.
6. ENVIRONMENT

The packaging is made up of
recyclable materials, which you
can dispose of through local recycling
points.
Never place electrical tools
in the household waste!
