3. Pressing the Menu button [10] again acknowledges the program selec-
tion. Timer 1 is selected and blinks. If the timer is selected pressing the
Plus button [8] or Minus button [9] will increase or decrease the time
setting in increments of seconds to the next minute. Keeping the but-
ton pressed counts in increments of minutes. Pressing one of the but-
tons again sets the seconds. Pressing the Menu button [10] briefly
selects Timer 2 which is set as described above. For the working time
and time in mouth values please refer to the material manufacturer's
instructions. When programming Timer 2 to the specified setting time
please remember to add the required transfer time (end of mixing pro-
cess until insertion into the mouth).
4. Pressing the Menu button [10] closes the menu and saves the settings
under the respective memory number. A short acoustic signal con-
firms that the settings are saved.
If you press the Start/Stop button [5] before saving the settings the
menu closes. Unsaved settings will be lost.

Currently the device is supplied with six preconfigured programs.

These preconfigured settings can be changed. When setting Timer 2 to
the specified setting time please remember to add the required transfer
time (end of mixing process until insertion into the mouth).
When you reset the device to the factory settings the settings are revert-
ed back to the preconfigured values.

Selecting programs

1. Press the Menu button [10] briefly. The program display is selected
and blinks.
2. Select the desired program by pressing the Plus button [8] or the
Minus button [9], and scroll through the programs. Keeping the but-
ton pressed counts in increments of 10. Pressing one of the two but-
tons briefly opens one setting at a time.
3. Pressing and holding the Menu button [10] closes the menu and selects
the corresponding program.

Operation without the timers

If none of the timers are used they can be hidden from the display to pro-
vide a better overview. To do that, press the Minus button [9] to set the
program display to P— (see »Selecting programs«), and save the settings
by pressing the Menu button [10]. After you press the Start/Stop button
both timers disappear from the display. This setting will remain active even
after the unit is restarted. By pressing the Menu button you can return to
the setting mode and reactivate the timer symbols in the display.

Restart

The unit can be restarted after it was turned off on the main switch and
remained off for a minimum of 5 seconds.

Reset to factory settings

Starting the unit and hold the Plus button [8] and Minus [9] button pressed
until the self-test is completed. Previously saved programs will be delet-
ed. The saved programs (see »Program presets«) are loaded. The mixing
speed is set to level 2.

Maintenance and care

Under normal operating conditions the device is maintenance-free. In case
of a malfunction, however, please contact your nearest Service Center.
With the exception of the plunger disks and fuses there are no user ser-
viceable parts. Spare fuses and plunger disks are supplied with the device.
Disinfection and cleaning
For your own safety please disconnect the device from the power supply
before cleaning and disinfecting the unit.
Use a soft cloth and mild detergent only to clean the device. Do NOT use
solvent-based or abrasive cleaning agents as they can damage the plastic
components. Cleaning agent must not penetrate into the device.
Please use a normal wipe disinfection to keep the unit and power cord
clean. Alcohol-based disinfection agents such as Pursept-A Xpress (Merz)
or FD 322 (Dürr) can be used. Pursept-A and FD 322 are not available in
all countries.
Cleaning/replacing the plunger
Should the plunger disks become soiled or damaged they may be cleaned
or replaced as follows:
1. Retract the plungers to their original position and remove the cartridge.
2. Hold the Menu button [10] until you hear an acoustic signal. All sym-
bols except for the cartridge and the forward indicator disappear from
the display.
The device chimes and the Start/Stop button [5] can be operated. Hold
the Menu button [10] during the entire process.
3. Advance the plungers forward so that plunger discs can be accessed
easily.
4. Clean: Clean the plunger disks with a soft cloth.
