Panphonics Device Control is a dedicated software for controlling the ADX-21-D amplifiers over
a network. With the software, it's possible to adjust the basic functions of the amplifiers
connected to the same network from a computer remotely. The feature of using both audio
inputs simultaneously is only accessed from the Panphonics Device Control software.
The software can be used on both Windows and macOS. To download the software, go to
www.panphonics.com.
It is possible to control one amplifier by plugging it directly to the ethernet port of a computer or
create a multi-device setup with suitable network configuration.
When the ADX-21-D amplifier and a computer with the Panphonics Device Control software
installed are connected to the same network, the Panphonics Device Control software will
search and display all the amplifiers available.
To use the network control feature:
1. Install the Panphonics Device Control software to a computer intended for controlling
the ADX-21-D amplifiers.
2. Connect the computer and the amplifiers to a same network.
3. Open the Panphonics Device Control software on the computer.
4. Choose the network connection type or port for the computer.
5. Wait for the amplifier(s) to show up on the Panphonics Device Control software
window.
For the most reliable setup, select wired ethernet connections and good quality network
switches.
Communication between the control software and the amplifier is handled with UDP protocol.
The amplifier's port UDP:54272 is open and the amplifier responds to the port from which the
message was received. When the control software starts, it tries to bind a port for its use,
starting with port UDP:54272.
Depending on the requirements of the network used, in some cases, it could be necessary to
open port UDP:54272 for outgoing traffic and a few ports from UDP:54272 to UDP:54276 for
incoming traffic in the networks firewall settings.
