Changing Cooktop Settings
Control Lock
The Control Lock feature automatically prevents
cooktop controls from being turned on. It does not
disable the timer.
• If Control Lock is turned on, all cooktop
functions are disabled except the POWER and
Control Lock buttons.

Press and hold Control Lock for 3 seconds.
The Control Lock LED indicator lights up.

All buttons are disabled except for the POWER
and Control Lock buttons.
Unlock
Press and hold Control Lock for 3 seconds to turn
off the lock and unlock all buttons.
Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi button, when used with the LG ThinQ
app, allows the induction to connect to a home Wi-
Fi network. Refer to Smart Functions for
information on the initial setup of the app.
Setting Up Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi indicator shows the status of the
cooktop's network connection. The indicator
illuminates when the cooktop is connected to the
Wi-Fi network. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button for
3 seconds to connect to the network. The indicator
blinks while the connection is being made and
then turns on once the connection is successfully
made.
To turn off the Wi-Fi, press and hold the Wi-Fi
button again for 3 seconds. This will turn off the
indicator and disconnect from the Wi-Fi network.
Before Using the Cooktop
Before using the cooktop for the first time, clean it
thoroughly with the included cleaner or ceramic
cooktop cleaner according to the Care and
Cleaning instructions in this guide. This will help
protect the ceramic surface and make future
cleanup easier.
CAUTION
• Never use abrasive scrubbing pads or cleaners.
They can cause permanent damage to the
cooktop surface.
Using the Cooktop
First Operation
When you first connect the electrical supply to the
cooktop, the "
" indicator will blink for 60 seconds.

• Use caution, if the "

ceramic-glass surface is hot. Failure to take care
may result in burns or injuries. Refer to the Hot
Surface Indicator section.
Activating the Cooktop
To turn on the cooktop, press the POWER button
for approximately 1 second. The power indicator
LED for each surface element shows "0". To turn
off the cooktop, press the POWER button.
NOTE
• After turning on the cooktop with the POWER
button, you must select one of the cooking
zones within 60 seconds. If no selection is made,
the cooktop will turn off for safety.
