5. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
ATTENTION:
Before cleaning and/or maintenance of the tool, make sure that the tool is disconnected from the
compressed air supply.
Air supply
To facilitate tool changes and future maintenance, it is recommended that a damper be installed on the
mains by-pass to shut off the compressed air during servicing and maintenance.
•
Make sure that the air compressor can supply full air pressure to the tool.
•
Use a maximum pressure of 6.3bar (90 PSI). High pressure and poor air treatment will shorten tool
life, and high pressure and poor air treatment will shorten tool life and can also lead to dangerous
situations.Drain the pressure regulating cup daily. and drain the compressor reservoir supplying the
air, as water in the system can damage the tool. Use a line filter and pressure regulator.
•
For optimum performance of the pneumatic tool, it is recommended that the air hose have an internal
diameter of 3/8" so that there is not too much pressure loss.
•
Keep hoses away from heat, oil and sharp surfaces.
•
Check hoses for wear and tear and make sure all connections are secure and tight.
Lubrication
To ensure proper and long-lasting operation of the pneumatic chisel hammer, it should be lubricated
regularly.
•
•
ATTENTION: If it is not possible to install a filter-pressure regulator-lubricator assembly in the
pneumatic system, the tool should be lubricated with two to six drops of oil applied directly through
the air inlet. This should be done at least once a day or after every two hours of operation.
Storage
•
If it is necessary to store the machine for an extended period of time, it should first be lubricated and
then run for approximately 30 seconds to ensure that the oil has been evenly distributed throughout
the machine.
•
Store the pneumatic hammer and its accessories in the case supplied with the product and store it in a
clean, dry place.
