IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and/or personal injury
including the following:
•
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
•
After removing the packaging, make sure the product is complete and undamaged.
If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact a qualified professional only.
•
The plastic bag containing the appliance should be kept away from children as it
may represent a suffocation hazard.
•
To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, never immerse the
power base, cord or plug in water or other liquids.
•
Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before
assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning. Unplug, grasp the plug
and pull from the outlet. Never pull by the power cord.
•
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
•
The use of attachments not recommended or sold by Braun may cause fire, electric
shock or injury.
•
Do not use outdoors.
•
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces, including
the stove.
•
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
•
Avoid contacting moving parts.
•
Do not attempt to defeat any safety interlock mechanisms.
•
Never feed food by hand. Always use food pusher.
•
Do not lift or carry the processor by the handle - or the handle may break resulting
in injury.
•
Always remove the knife blade before pouring contents from the bowl.
•
Keep hands and utensils out of the processor bowl while processing and blending
food and whilst connected to the power supply to reduce the risk of severe injury
to persons or damage to the food processor. A scraper may be used but must be
used only when the food processor is not running.
•

Never use your fingers or other objects to push food down the feed tube. If food
becomes lodged in opening, always use the pusher/s supplied. When this method
is not possible turn the motor off and disassemble to remove the remaining food.

To reduce the risk of injury never place blade or discs on base without first putting
bowl or jar properly in place.
•

The blades are very sharp, handle with care. Always hold by the finger grip at the
top, away from the cutting edge, both when handling and cleaning.
•
Make sure that hands, hair, clothing as well as spatulas and other kitchen utensils
are clear of the container before starting the appliance and during operation to
reduce the risk of injury to person and/or damage to the appliance.
•
Never leave the appliance on unnecessarily, as it is a potential source of danger.
•
Be certain cover is securely locked in place before operating appliance.
