OPERATION
Slide the miter gauge in the miter gauge slot.
Loosen the lock knob by turning it counterclockwise.
Pull out the stop pin and rotate the gauge until the desired
angle is reached on the scale.
Retighten the lock knob by turning it clockwise.
TO USE THE SLIDING TABLE EXTENSION
See Figure 27.
Increase the length of the saw table by using the table
extension.
Lock the rip fence on the sliding table extension at 13 in.
WARNING:
The rip fence must be locked in the 13 in. posi-
tion to ensure the accuracy of the secondary
scale measurement and to provide proper sup-
port of the workpiece when using the table in
the extended position. Failure to position the rip
fence correctly will cause inaccurate workpiece
measurements and could result in serious per-
sonal injury.
Unlock the sliding table extension by lifting the table
extension lock lever.
Slide the table extension to the desired width.
NOTE: Use the secondary scale on the front rail when a
specific width is desired.
Once the extension table is set to the desired width,
relock the lever by pushing the lever back towards the
saw base.
ADJUSTING THE BLADE PARALLEL TO THE
MITER GAUGE GROOVE (REMOVING HEEL)
See Figures 28 - 30.
WARNING:
The blade must be made parallel to the miter
gauge groove so the wood does not bind result-
ing in kickback. Failure to do so could result in
serious personal injury.
Do not loosen any bolts for this adjustment until you have
checked with a square and made test cuts to be sure adjust-
ments are necessary. Once the bolts are loosened, these
items must be reset.
Unplug the saw.
Remove the blade guard, riving knife, and anti-kickback
pawls. Raise the blade by turning the height/bevel adjust-
ing handwheel.
Mark beside one of the blade teeth at the front of the
blade. Using a ruler, measure the distance from the inside
face of the blade tooth to the left edge of the right miter
gauge groove.
