Setting Up for the Pull
Do not use handle as support during pull.
Failure to observe this warning could result in severe

Make full contact with clamp shoul-
der onto conduit.

• Support extended boom before retracting or disen-
gaging locking barrel.
• Do not overextend boom. It can come out of the
tube and fall.
• Do not extend boom past paint line (1).

1. Place puller near conduit. Tip the puller horizontally
and rest it on the kickstand-handle.
2. Extend boom to desired tail length. Pull and twist
boom quick pin clockwise to unlock the boom and
free up hands. Twist pin counterclockwise to lock
the boom at the desired tail length. Support the
nose and upper boom weldment throughout this
step. Do not extend boom past unpainted portion.
3. Loosen clamp knob by rotating counter clockwise.
Align the nose with the conduit and lock in place
using the swivel quick pin and pivot detent pin.
Ensure conduit is parallel to the clamp.
