1. Insert the battery pack (5) into the orbital delta sander
slot and press the battery until you hear the "click" of the
lock/unlock button (2). At this point the battery is fully
secured;
2. To remove, press the lock/unlock button and pull out
the battery.
Use VITO's 20V lithium-ion batteries.
1. Place the battery in the charger as you would place it in
the machine;
2. Plug the charger into the socket and let it charge.
Sometimes at the end of charging, both the battery and the
charger can be hot, but this does not mean that they are
malfunctioning.
Let the battery cool down before fitting into the machine.
1. Fit the dust tank (6) onto the machine;
2. The dust is extracted directly into the tank by the sanding
sheet and the oscillating base plate (1);
3. Pull out the dust tank to remove it.
For safety reasons it is essential that you use the dust
tank or a dust extraction system.
Fit the vacuum cleaner adaptor in the same way as you fit
the dust tank. Connect the vacuum cleaner to the adaptor.
▪ Use only sanding sheets with matching dimensions and
holes;
▪ Place the sanding sheet on the oscillating base plate (1).
Check that the holes match;
▪ To remove the sanding sheet, simply pull.
While operating the orbital delta sander you must consider
some precautions and procedures of use:
▪ Hold the sander firmly. Loss of control of the sander can
cause injury;
▪ When working on small or loose workpieces, use
clamping devices to fix workpieces in a stable and
secure manner;
▪ Do not apply too much pressure on the orbital delta
sander against the workpiece/object. If the speed drops
abruptly, reduce the pressure on the orbital delta sander
immediately;
▪ Never let go of the orbital delta sander before the
oscillating base plate (1) has completely stopped;
▪ Wear hearing protection while operating the orbital delta
sander. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss;
▪ Turn off the orbital delta sander immediately if any of the
following problems arise:
- Grease leakage from the ventilation slots;
- Damage on the housing;
- Damage on the ON/OFF switch;
- Appearance of smoke or a burning smell.
