Wheel Locks (includes brake extension)
The wheel locks on the CR1 come pre-installed but can be adjusted to an
individual's preference.
To adjust:
1. Loosen the adjustment screw on the wheel lock clamp.
2. Slide the lock assembly forward (less lock tension) or backwards (more
lock tension).
IMPORTANT! The effort required to engage or disengage the wheel lock is an
indication of grip strength against the wheel and the wheel lock's performance.
Also, a reduction in lock strength is likely indicates an underinflated tire with
less than optimal tire pressure.
Side Guards
The wheelchair comes with two side guards which are mandatory and cannot be removed as they are a critical frame component.
Positioning Belt
The wheelchair is available with a black nylon, hook and loop fastener adjustable positioning belt. Undo the strap and set the tension as desired.
