Removing and
Installing the Chuck
Removing the Chuck
WARNING
Always remove the battery pack before replacing
the chuck.
1. Open the jaws of the chuck as wide as possible to gain
access to the chuck screw.
2. Using a T25 size Torx driver, remove the chuck screw
by turning it in the clockwise direction.
3. Slide the Hi-Lo switch to the low speed, position 1.
4. Insert the short end of an Allen wrench (5/16" or
larger) into the chuck. Align the wrench flat with the
chuck and tighten the chuck securely.

5. While supporting the chuck on a solid surface,
position the drill so the Allen wrench is leaning to the
left.
6. Strike the wrench with a hammer to loosen the chuck.
Turn the chuck counter clockwise to remove it.
7. Remove the chuck by turning it counter clockwise.
Assembly
WARNING
Always remove the battery pack before replacing
the chuck.
1. Slide the Hi-Lo switch to the low position.
2. Thread the chuck spindle into the drive shaft.

3. Insert the end of an Allen wrench (5/16" or larger)
into the chuck. Align the wrench flat with the chuck
jaws and hand-tighten.
4. While supporting the chuck on a solid surface,
position the tool so the Allen wrench is leaning to the
right, and strike the wrench with a hammer to tighten
the chuck.

5. Open the chuck jaws as widely as possible.
6. Using a T25 size Torx driver, insert the left-hand
chuck screw and tighten it in the counter clockwise
direction to 45±10 in. lb.
Battery Charging
1. Insert the power cord plug into the socket of the
charger.
2. Plug the other end of cord plug into power source
outlet.
3. Insert battery pack in the charger. Position the battery
pack so that the battery sits flush with the top of the
charger.
— The green light will start flashing. This indicates
the charger is charging the battery pack.
4. The fuel gauge on the battery pack willdisplay the
charge percentage % valuestatus. Standard fast
charging time is 45 minutes.
— When the battery is 25% charged, one lightwill
be solid green.
5. When the fast charge is complete all (4)lights on the
battery pack will be solid greenindicating battery is
fully charged andcharger will indicate solid green light.
6. If the LED on the right hand side is flashing ayellow
light then the battery pack is either hotor cold. The
charger will not fast charge thebattery if it is too hot or
cold. The chargergoes into a fast charge mode when the
battery temperature is between 32°F (0°C) and 113°F
(45°C).
7. If the LED on the right hand side is flashing a red light,
the battery pack is faulty and the charger will not charge
the battery.
